Using Scraps Batch #5

Here is another batch of scraps... this time instead of using my trusty cricut I decided to use my nestabilities dies :0) I plan on doing more, this is just the start and it's nice to have them pre-cut so I can just grab one that coordinates with a card. Here is what I have done so far...

I needed a get well card for my sister in Nebraska who had surgery today so I whipped this one up to get out in the mail. I used the labels one die for the cuts this time :0)

Tink banner

I have been wanting to make a banner for quite some time now. I knew I either wanted my name or Tink's...Tink won :0) I worked on this banner almost the entire day yesterday. I know it is pretty simple looking but, I have never made one before and wasn't quite sure what I was doing. In the end I love it! It is hanging right above my window in my craftroom so you can actually see it right as you walk in the door.

More Tinkerbell cards

Okay so, I have definitely been on a roll with the Tinkerbell cards. I made four more today :0) I just love her! And yes, I used my favorite die shape for all of them :0) I used my Crayola colored pencils to color all of the images.

Dress up with Tink

I'm loving the idea of putting Tinkerbell in different colored dresses. They are turning out great, in my opinion :0) Here she is wearing blue!

I Love You card

I made this card for my mom. She is not a big fan of Valentine's Day since her and my dad are no longer together. She does however, love the colors :0) So... I made her an I Love You card instead of a Valentine one. I used one of my spellbinders dies, this is my new favorite one! It is called Lacey Ovals. I used the largest one, the paper is from a pack I picked up at Target and the cardstock and tiny pearls are Recollections from Michael's. I put tiny little pom pom's on her slippers :0) I also love my new crystal stickles, they highlight Tink's wings perfectly!

My favorite Digital Stamp sites...

I have recently discovered a lot of wonderful digital stamp places. When I look for them I like cute and whimsical so being very picky, I have actually found quite a few places that have exactly what I like :0) That being said, I thought I would share them with you so if you are looking these places are great and have very good prices. A couple of links

Just wanted to share a good discovery for those of you in the same boat :0)

After discovering that the new cuttlebug does not come with a C plate, used to be able to make the Spellbinders dies compatible, I had to start searching. Michael's did not have one so I came home and started the Google search. Not much luck in the way of anyone having one in stock so I continued the search this morning :0) Have to have one! After reading through a forum, can't remember where, I clicked on a couple of links and with one lucky click, third place mind you, ding ding ding! Found one at this place AJ Scrapbook Essentials. Then I went on the Cricut website and discovered they have them there as well, 20 cent difference :0) As soon as this plate arrives I will be able to get started with my new toy!

Hair sheet #2

Hair sheet

So... I was online the other night looking for some cute digital stamp places and I came across this one, along with many others :0), that has some practice sheets you can download for hair, skin and eyes. I don't have any copic markers but, I thought I would get them to use for my Bic Mark It's. I love these sheets! I have completed the one for the boy hair and am working on the girl still. Birthday card

Here is another card I made with an image that Tracy sent me :0) These little girls are too cute! I used the same K&Co paper from the Sweet Nectar stack like the last card I showed. I used some of the homemade twine I made and did a tutorial on here. This image is colored with colored pencils again and the stamp is a Heidi Grace clear stamp.

A little more coloring...

So... Caleb, only 7 years old, says "Mom, I don't want to colors girls anymore, do they have any boys"? Ty agrees with him so I go on The Greeting Farm website here and voila! Download two more digital images :0) Now the boys are happier and want a few more, in due time I say :0) Here they are...

More coloring and a card

Here are the same three images as the last post only I used my Bic Mark It markers this time. I still used a colored pencil for the skin as the Bic's do not have a flesh tone :0)

And... Here is a card I made with one of the images I got from Tracy, thanks Tracy! She is done with colored pencils :0)

The paper I used for this is from the 6x6 Sweet Nectar from K&Co. Since I don't have any of the nestabilities dies, yet, I had to use my cricut to cut this little girl out. This was my first time trying out the center point feature and I was so excited when it worked :0) I still want the nestabilities, well and the cuttlebug to go with, but this will work for now. I inked the white cardstock on the girl and the sentiment with a pink studio g pad from Michael's and the sheer ribbon is from the Dollar Tree. The yellow cardstock was in some scraps so I'm not sure where I got it :0)  The bow looks a little floppy to me so I will fix it later.

Some coloring...

Sunday night Ty decided he wanted to do some coloring so I had him look through some of the images I got in a swap last year. Well, this made me want to color too :0) I purchased three Greeting Farm digital stamps yesterday so I printed those off and we were ready to go. Ty is still working on his image so I will share when he is done. Here are mine... I used colored pencils for these :0)
