Teacher Gifts

Here is one of two Teacher gifts I am working on. My boys only have a few weeks left, woo hoo! You can check out the site I got this from here and my youtube video here. I used my Doodlecharms cartridge for all of the cutouts.

Here I tried to get a closer shot of the mini (1 inch) clothespins. I don't have the best camera for this but, you get the idea. They are to represent bathroom passes :0)
This is just a shot of the top. I still need to fill it up with goodies :0)

I will be making a tutorial video very soon as I put the other one together :0)  I hope you all have a terrific weekend! Hugs!!!!

Mom's Mini Album

Here are some pictures of the mini album I made for my Mom for Mother's Day :0)

I have a video going through the whole thing here. Enjoy!

Homemade Baker's Twine video tutorial

I was able to do a video tutorial on the Baker's Twine. Just click here to go straight to my youtube to watch. Enjoy! :0)

Homemade Baker's Twine

From this...

To this...

I was browsing the internet today and I came across a video on how to make your own Baker's Twine. Very cool! This is how mine turned out. Some lines are wider than others but, oh well :0) I used Bic mark it markers for mine but, you can use whatever permanent markers you have on hand. Here is how I did it...

I cut two pieces of a cereal box the same width as my Tim Holtz ruler and taped then back to back withe my ATG adhesive. I then lined it with masking tape all the way around. In the original video she just used a ruler with masking tape but, I don't have an extra one :0) Then I wrapped the crochet thread around but, not overlapping. This can be as long as you want, mine are about 34-35 inches.
Then you take your marker and draw lines. Some colors bleed more than others so start small. Push down so the color will go through to the other side of the thread. I did one diagonally to look more like the original twine, the red one above. However you choose they both look good.
After letting it dry for a minute you unwind and here you have it! Pretty cool huh?

Give it a try! Any questions just let me know. I hope to do a video soon to show the whole process :0)

All cleaned up and ready for the next project!

Just thought I would share a photo of my workspace since I just cleaned it up after the mini's I just completed. My mom's is finished but, since she checks my blog from time to time I can not post it yet. I also want to wish all of my new Mom friends here in 'blogland' the most fantastic Mother's Day Ever! I may not be able to get up here everyday or comment on every post but, I think about you ladies all the time! It's nice to be out somewhere, see something and be able to relate it to one of you :0) I think it's really cool to be able to do that and I am so glad I have "met" you all

Big Hugs!!!!

Hi all! So...not only have I started working on my wedding album, from 2009 :0), finally. I made these cards/post it note holders today for two of my boys Teachers. I still have a couple more to make but this is a start :0) I learned how to make these from Jen. Her YT is Jennerator74 and her blog is also Jennerator74. I made these using some of the scraps left over from the mini I just posted :0) Hope you like them! Hugs!!!!

Hello Bloggers!

Hi everyone! I have been busy working on a new type of paper bag mini :0) This idea came from Kathy Orta. Her YT is kathyorta and her blog is Paper Phenomenon. I totally fell for this mini and I finally got the chance to make one. She has a tutorial series, 10 videos, on this one. I know it sounds like, oh no that's a lot of work, but it turns out great. I have learned what I would and wouldn't do next time personally but, this is a fantastic start! Here are some pics and you can go here to see my video if you would like. Enjoy and I hope you all are having a great week so far! Hugs!!!!

All of the left hand side pages have this flap that opens up.

These are the large tags that are inside of the paper bags.

Awards again :0)

Yay! I got these two awards once again :0) This time from Tina. Thank you so so much Tina.

So...here are 7 more facts about me

2. My summer drink of choice is Lemonade
3. I am a procrastinator about 60% of the time, can't help it, I get bored easily too
4. My "junk" drawer is organized, who does that? :0)
5. I am still 15 at heart :0) Wish I had a time machine!
6. My favorite vacation place.........Disney World!......... One day...Graceland!
7. I am the only person in my house, out of 6 mind you, who doesn't own an I-Pod :0(

I am going to have to check over my blog peeps to see who I am passing this on to so I will get back to you on that.

Thanks again Tina! You are so sweet! Hugs!!!!

Some cards...

Here are a few cards I have been working on the last couple of days. Since it is nearing the end of the school year I have been, and will be, really busy with the boys activities :0) Tomorrow is our annual walk-a-thon, so fun for all of the kids. Although I do think they like the end where they get popsicles best :0)
Anyway, on to my cards. This first one is a birthday card I made for my sister who adores Hello Kitty. Main reason for the cartridge :0) This is one of the cutouts I do a while back using my scrap pieces. I think it turned out adorable. I also added one of my crochet flowers for that extra dimension :0)

This next set is 4x4 in size. I learned how to make these flowers from Brigitte ( shoeprincess1 ) on YT. These are a little smaller since I didn't have the same size punch but they are really easy and turn out cute. Again, these were made using up some scrap pieces :0)

Hope you all are having a fantastic day! Hugs!!!!

Busy weekend :0)

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend, Happy Monday! As some of you may know, my scraproom was located in the basement. Well...I really don't like it down there so two of my wonderful boys, Thank you Ty and Caleb!!!!, decided to bunk in the same room (don't worry, it's a huge room :0) ) so I could have the small room upstairs. Jeremy even came home from work on Sunday with paint, yup...my pistachio ice-cream wall turned into four. I am so excited! I'll be even more excited when the new paint smell leaves, I get really bad migraines so I have to stay out until the smell is gone. Last night we got all of the furniture in except my big standing cabinet. That has to stay in the basement since it is anchored to the wall and my new room is kind of small. I love it though. I took some pictures even though I am not done. I don't have anything on the walls yet but I wanted to show you all anyway. Hope you all have an awesome week! Hugs!!!!

This is my work table. The bright light on the left is from the window :0)
This is my counter that Caleb works at, still putting things away. Have to hang my Making Memories wall shelf up still.
This is one of my cubes. I have them side by side in the closet now.
This is the other cube unit in the closet.
My Allie's little bed. Need to make her a Tinkerbell blanket to match room now :0)
